21 Years After 9/11, What Happened to Unity in the United States?
Will Ukrainians make the same mistakes after the Russian invasion is over?
September 11, 2001 is the day I will never forget.
The loss of lives and destruction of the Twin Towers, damage at the Pentagon, and the courage of United Flight 93’s passengers are etched in my head forever.
Does anyone remember how Americans banded together afterwards? We all had a common goal — find the bastards who committed these travesties and blow their asses up. But first, we had to take care of our own.
Thousands donated blood for the survivors. Some blood banks saw people waiting in line an entire day to donate. Amazon made it possible to click on a button to raise money for the Red Cross. They raised $3 million in just two days. Every person I knew donated something…blood, money, food, and clothing for the survivors. Through my heartache and grief, I was proud to be American.
