9 or More Hours of Sleep Can Screw Up Your Mental Health
I’m going back to napping. Sleeping stresses me out.
“Get as much sleep as you can at one time,” they said. “It’ll be fun, and you’ll be so much more rested!” they said.
Bullshit.
The sleep app on my watch said I slept 9 hours, 18 minutes last night. Did you know that it’s possible to have a baby at the age of 65, move the entire contents of a two-story house into a single story home, and watch a jet crash — bursting into flames on a golf course just 200 feet away from our home in 9 hours, 18 minutes?
Let’s start with the baby, since that was my first dream. Favorite husband and I were in the kitchen eating breakfast and drinking coffee. I told him a baby was crying, and the sound was coming from our bedroom. He thought it was our cat. Our cat doesn’t make sounds…not a mew, a meow…nothing. She’s always in Ninja mode. That’s her version of stealth mode she saves for the dogs.
We walked into the bedroom, and there she was, laying on the bed. A beautiful 12 pound baby girl with bows in her hair, wearing a pink onesy. That’s how we knew right away the baby was a girl. I picked her up and she stopped crying. She smelled just like babies smell. I rocked her in my arms until she fell asleep, and put her back on our bed.
