I Blocked My Husband on Facebook
It took two weeks for him to realize he was blocked and invisible to me.
Before I’m judged, here’s the back story of blocking my husband on Facebook.
My husband was bound and determined to drive again after his severe traumatic brain injury. As soon as he became mobile thanks to outpatient physical therapy, my life became a living hell.
Not only did I listen to him announcing every hour on the hour that he was ready to drive again, I saw his friends comments on Facebook.
“Yeah, buddy. If you want to drive, just do it.”
“Don’t pay attention to your old lady. She wants to control your life.”
“Just sneak the car out when she’s sleeping. She’ll never know. “
They wouldn’t stop giving him idiotic advice.
The worst part was how he thought they were looking out for their “buddy.” As soon as I’d see a comment about driving, I’d message that person in private and tell them to mind their own damn business.
“You need to mind your own f*cking business and stop encouraging John to drive without a driver’s license. What the hell is wrong with you?”
“Hey, would you stop giving John ideas about…
