I Used To Laugh at Conspiracy Theories
Now they scare the crap out of me
The first conspiracy theory I remember hearing was someone saying the moon landing was staged. I scratched my head because I saw it on TV when it happened. It wasn’t one of those “I know it’s true because I saw it on the internet” stories. Mom, Dad, my brothers, sister and I sat in the living room watching TV as Neil Armstrong took the first steps by man on the moon. It was history in the making, and we were watching it happen. Another thing to think about - how good were movie graphics in 1969? If you’re going to fake the moon landing, why not make it look better than Star Wars so people don’t think their tax dollars went to waste?
Bad Karma
A friend of mine refuses to buy anything used, no matter how good of a deal it is. He believes that Karma can attach itself to anything, and there’s no way in hell he’s going to take a chance and let bad Karma into his home. It’s okay to laugh. I still do when I think about him. But, what if he’s right?
