Karen, I have a rule at our house that hasn't failed me yet. I tell visitors, "The first day here, you are my guest. If you're here longer, you're on your own. The refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher work. Google search restaurants who deliver if you don't want to cook. And flush the toilet when you're done."
